Communications Manager DACH

Full Time, remote role based in Germany or Austria

circa 60,000 – 65,000 Euros p/a varying based on location and experience/skills.

Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) is driving the world’s leading certification programme for responsibly farmed seafood and we are looking for a passionate Commination’s Manager to join us in making a positive impact on our planet and people.

  • Are you passionate about taking a communications strategy and putting this into practice within local DAHC regions? Including, increasing awareness, public profile, content development and operational uptake of our sustainable seafood certification.
  • Do you have experience developing and leading both media activities and digital communication (PR, press room, content etc.) within DACH regions?
  • Have you developed specialised communication plans, campaigns, and projects to drive increased market awareness and uptake?
  • Do you have professional experience in responding to media inquiries and public speaking?
  • Can you pro-actively monitor and track progress and implementation of communications issues management process for developing pre-emptive tactics to resolve front line concerns?

This communication champion will have a dynamic, hands-on approach to increase the public profile of the ASC programme and its logo in the German speaking markets and contribute to a growing trust in what the programme brings in making aquaculture more responsible.

You will need to be pro-active, solution oriented with exceptional communication skills in both German and English. This role is remote and will directly support our growing local and global teams to communicate the benefits of responsible aquaculture and the role of the ASC programme in achieving better environmental and social outcomes for the industry.
