Senior Corporate Communications Manager
Reporting to Global Marcoms Director, you will be a key member of our Brand and Marcoms team.

ASC are seeking an experienced Corporate Communications Leader with a strong understanding of media relations, crisis communication and public affairs.
You will support the Brand Director and wider stakeholders developing and executing a strategic corporate communications plan and developing ASC’s reputation to boost the company’s overall business objectives. The main aim will be to effectively ensure that the company’s communications are consistent and effective, organisation wide.
Main Responsibilities
- Developing and securing a positive ASC reputation in the public domain
- Development and execution of proactive strategic corporate communications plans that support overall business objectives and amplify the positive actions of our partners, promote our impacts and industry (thought) leadership
- Develop and maintain relationships with key journalists and media outlets to strengthen their understanding and perception of ASC
- Craft and deliver executive communications including speeches, press releases, answering journalists/media questions and issuing statements, and blog posts
- Identify areas of potential crisis and develop communications guidelines as well as (proactive, reactive and/or holding) statements on important topics to turn potential risks into opportunities
- Represent the company as spokesperson with media
- Respond rapidly to media requests or relevant news stories, and provide colleagues with statements and background information as needed e.g. Q&As, FAQs etc
- Coordination of cross organisational communications planning
- Act as a trusted advisor and champion with local marcomms teams and across the organisation on media strategy, issues and media interventions, briefings and interview techniques
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that the organisations communications are consistent and effective
- Support overseeing the proofing, editing and production of corporate publications, such as annual reports and other public-facing materials
- Manage PR/FAQs library to allow easy access to position statements and other PR/FAQs assets; and work with colleagues to ensure a consistency with web-based resources & assets
- Provide strong leadership in all things, with core people management skills within the role
Desired Skills, Experience & Profile
To be successful in this role you’ll need to;
- have a bachelor’s degree (minimum) in communications, journalism or related field, or equivalent knowledge gained by experience.
- possess advanced experience in corporate communications, communications consultancy, strategic leadership or a related field.
- have proven ability to develop and execute strategic communications plans, including crisis management.

ASC works globally across multiple time zones so the pattern of hours may vary according to operational needs. Some domestic and international travel and overnight stays may be required.
