ASC Farm Standard Comparison Tool
The ASC Farm Standard Comparison Tool is a new development to support you with the transition from ASC’s existing species-specific Standards to the new single ASC Farm Standard.
With this tool you will be able to understand the requirements of the ASC Farm Standard, including which areas are new, improved, or unchanged from the existing ASC species- specific Standards.
The tool is organised across criteria within the four Principles of the new ASC Farm Standard:
- Principle 1 - The UoC operates legally and applies effective business management.
- Principle 2 - The UoC operates in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Principle 3 - The UoC operates in a socially responsible manner.
- Principle 4 - The UoC operates responsibly with respect to animal health and welfare.
How to use this tool
The tool displays a row of icons for each indicator of the ASC Farm Standard, corresponding to each species-specific Standard. The colour of the icons shows whether each indicator is new, unchanged, improved, or not applicable, following the colours in the icon key. Hovering over icons will display the name of the species-specific Standard and, if applicable, the corresponding indicator(s) to compare against.
The three dropdown boxes at the top of the tool allow you to filter the display in three ways:
- Step 1: select a species group to view only comparisons to that species-specific Standard
- Step 2: select the Farm Standard criterion you are interested in
- Step 3: select an indicator category to filter indicators according to their type
Each filter allows you to make multiple selections or can be left empty.
We will update this tool in line with the ASC Farm Standard rollout to reflect feedback incorporated from the stakeholder consultation in April 2024.
