Certifier accreditation
Certifiers can get accredited to conduct audits against our standards. Learn how you can apply for accreditation below.
For Certification Assessment Bodies (ASC Farm Standards)
To apply for ASC accreditation, please contact Assurance Services International (ASI).
For Certification Assessment Bodies (MSC CoC Standard)
Certifiers that are already accredited by ASI to conduct Marine Stewardship Council Chain of Custody audits can submit their revised procedures and checklists to ASI for review which incorporate the amendments for ASC products (MSC Certification Requirements v 3.1 and GCR 2.5).
Auditor training
We provide auditor training on our standards. Participation and successful completion of the course is a mandatory requirement of the ASC accreditation process.
ASC offers 3 types of courses to auditors.
Auditor training calendar 2023
- ONLINE COURSES WITH LIVE WEBINARS AND EXAMS
This training calendar is exclusively for auditors with a link to one of our accredited CABs.
The calendar below shows the date when the self-study material will be published, the date of the live webinars to be attended and the online exam. Registration and payment have to be completed before the webinar. Please consider that some of the dates might change.
There is a minimum of participants for the training course to take place. ASC reserves the right to cancel the training should this minimum not be reached. In that case, the course will be offered again during the second half of 2023.
There is also a maximum number of participants allowed, and the spots will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. An early registration is advised, but please register only if you are at least 80% sure that you will be able to attend all dates of the training and exam.
To register, please accredited CABs only can register their auditors via the MyASC platform The registration is only confirmed once the payment is received and there is no cancellation.

CAR (Certification Accreditation Requirements)
The CAR (Certification and Accreditation Requirements) online module (self-study) is mandatory for all participants that haven’t passed it before. The CAR training must be completed before the standard exam.

CAR & RUoc FEED (available from Q2 2023)
The CAR (Certification and Accreditation Requirements) online module (self-study) is mandatory for all participants that haven’t passed it before. The CAR training must be completed before the Feed exam.
Material available for self-study. To register, please accredited CABs only can register their auditors via the MyASC platform.
RAS
Material available for self-study. To register, please accredited CABs only can register their auditors via the MyASC platform.
Shrimp 1.2
Material available for self-study. To register, please accredited CABs only can register their auditors via the MyASC platform.
Salmon 1.4

Seaweed

Important
- All participants need to pass the Certification and Accreditation Requirements training once.
- The participants need to choose one exam date. The exams dates cannot be changed.
- The training will have 3 mandatory evaluation activities
- Aquaculture Knowledge Exam– Closed book exam
- Class Assignment using farm records
- Exam – Open book exam

The training is only available for auditors that have a link with one of our accredited CABs.
To register, please ask your scheme manager to add you on MyASC.

Please note:
- Attendance of the complete training is mandatory for auditors who will conduct ASC audits.
- Auditors have to pass an exam on the set date of the training. No date changes on the exam date are allowed.
- The ASC standard training is just one of the requirements in order to be able to conduct ASC audits. Please, check our CAR for more information.
- There is a new equivalence training system in place. Check here to know more about it.
- The Auditor training is exclusive for auditors with a link with one of our accredited Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs)
