ASC and MSC at Anuga 2025: Responsibility Tastes Like the Future

September 30, 2025

Sustainable growth starts with responsible aquaculture and fisheries

From 4 to 8 October 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for the food and beverage industry opens its doors in Cologne – and this year, ASC is joining for the very first time.

Under the theme “Sustainable Growth”, Anuga showcases how food and beverage production can grow sustainably today and in the future. We are thrilled to present our work at the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) alongside our colleagues from the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). The invitation from the German Retail Federation (BVLH) highlights the importance of responsible supply chains and sustainable aquaculture and fisheries for the retail sector. Through ASC certification, we actively protect the environment and biodiversity, support local communities, and make responsibility tangible for consumers.

Meet us at the fair

Together with the MSC, we invite you to visit our joint stand and the BVLH Speakers’ Corner (Boulevard C-F 45-47) to explore the role of aquaculture and fisheries in a sustainable food system.

Our programme highlights:

  • Saturday, 04.10., 14:00 – From Feed to Fork – The ASC Programme for Responsibly Farmed Fish and Seafood

Hear more about ASC and our work of transforming aquaculture worldwide into a responsible production system and find out about the key topics we focus on. Visitors will see how our work makes responsibility visible and paves the way for certified products.

  • Sunday, 05.10., 15:30 – Can you taste responsibility?

In collaboration with our partner AquaChile, we invite you to an exclusive tasting of ASC-certified smoked salmon. AquaChile is Chile’s leading salmon producer, a long-standing ASC partner, and consistently committed to sustainable aquaculture, environmental protection, and responsible production. Visitors can experience firsthand what responsibility tastes like.

  • Tuesday, 07.10., 14:30 – From Feed to Fork – The ASC Programme for Responsibly Farmed Fish and Seafood

Another opportunity to learn more about our mission and the impact of ASC certification.

Aquaculture and fisheries – working together for Blue Foods

MSC demonstrates how sustainable wild-capture fisheries help protect the oceans. Together, we show that aquaculture and fisheries must go hand in hand to secure a sustainable future for Blue Foods.

We are delighted to be part of Anuga, share our expertise, and engage visitors in responsible aquaculture. Come by, taste the flavour of responsibility, and join the conversation on shaping the future of sustainable food.
