ASC Technical Advisory Group elects new chair, vice chair and Supervisory Board members

Members of ASC’s Technical Advisory Group (TAG) elected a new chair and vice-chair during their recent meeting on 26 to 27 September in London. Peter Cook from the University of Western Australia was elected as the Chair. Sandra Shumway, University of Connecticut, was elected as vice chair. We would like to warmly welcome Peter and Sandra as official chair persons for the TAG.

In addition two TAG members were elected to represent the ASC’s Technical Advisory Group in the ASC Supervisory Board. They are Petter Arnesen (Marine Harvest) and Peter Cook. With them ASC’s Supervisory Board now consist of 7 people, see ASC’s website. Other topics that were discussed during the meeting included ASC’s ISEAL membership application, future work on standards harmonisation, and the kick off of ASC’s projects on group certification and feed.
