bofrost* supports and promotes the ASC standards

Bofrost*, the European market leader in the direct sales of ice-cream and deep-frozen specialities in 12 European countries, today issued a statement of support for the ASC in which they confirm their willingness to preferably source farmed seafood from ASC-certified sources.

“bofrost* regards the implementation of the ASC certification that is currently under development as an important means to establish a future orientated, worldwide transformation towards environmentally and socially sustainable aquaculture.

“Just like bofrost* did when in 1997 the MSC was founded, bofrost* supports and promotes the ASC standards and confirms their willingness to preferably source farmed seafood from sources that work or will work in compliance with these standards.

“Besides, bofrost* will call upon their current suppliers to get ASC-certified.

“At the same time, bofrost* confirms that they will publicly state their support for the ASC standards and will publish their cooperation with the ASC in their own printed media.

“bofrost* has made it their objective to educate their 2.7 million loyal customers and convince them of the importance and advantages of the ASC standards for responsible aquaculture.”
