Join ASC at Seafood Expo Global in Brussels
April 7, 2014
Join the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) at Seafood Expo Global in Brussels to take part in a shrimp standard technical workshop on Tuesday 6 May and hear about the latest programme developments on Wednesday 8 May. You can also visit the ASC stand 2053 in hall 7 to have a chat with a member of the ASC team.
In the last couple of months ASC has celebrated the first certified salmon farms joining the programme, the first certified salmon hitting the market in Japan, Netherlands and North America and the shrimp standard being handed over to ASC.
At this year’s Seafood Expo Global you can join ASC at our update event to hear about these and other developments in the ASC programme, find out about ASC’s priorities in the year ahead and participate in a panel discussion and Q&A session.
Also, this year you have the opportunity to attend a technical workshop on the ASC Shrimp Standard. This session provides a high-level overview of the performance requirements in the ASC Shrimp Standard, guidance on how the standard is implemented and an outline on how producers can apply for ASC certification.
Seafood Expo Global attracts buyers, sellers and exhibitors from across the globe for three days of business, networking and discussion from 6-8 May.
The ASC works globally with aquaculture producers, seafood processors, retail and foodservice companies, scientists, conservation groups and the public to promote the best environmental and social practices in farmed seafood.
