Follow the Journey of Lerøy Salmon From Farm to Fork

February 10, 2016

The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) has collaborated with Lerøy Seafood on a short film highlighting the key benefits of certification.

In the feature, Renate Larsen, Managing Director of Lerøy Aurora, speaks about what certification means for them as a company, and the impact it has had on their surrounding communities. Click here to view the film.

Further commitment towards responsible aquaculture

Based in Norway, Lerøy is the second largest producer of salmon in the world. When their Lerøy Midt Hogsneset Nord Farm site achieved certification in 2014, they became one of the first salmon farms to achieve ASC certification.

To date, 15 Lerøy sites meet the ASC Salmon Standard. The farm is committed to ensuring that each and every one of their operations will achieve ASC certification by 2020.
